Components

As soon as you have created a new front door system, you can use a selection mask to allocate various components, such as the front door panels available for this system. All you have to do is click on the Add button to link the component to the system.

A function that supports you in the assignment is the integrated full-text search function. It allows you to quickly filter out certain components in a large selection.

Entrance Door Panels

After you have assigned a entrance door panel to the front door system, you can edit and store the corresponding properties.

This includes commercial information such as the price for the filling or a color group surcharge as well as technical information such as the available types, glasses and filling-specific handles. With the types, the system distinguishes between insert filling, one-sided sash-enclosing or both-sided sash-enclosing.

Colors and Surfaces

You can create individual color groups for your entrance doors - regardless of the type and nature of the surface. The system will show you all the surfaces that are already available, from which you can then put together a color combination.

Within a color group, you have the option of directly storing a surcharge for price determination or defining a surcharge group in order to apply this to other components.

In this video, learn more about the process and the options for product composition
that our software offers you when configuring entrance doors.

In order to configure a entrance door, you first have to select a entrance door system. The desired element type can then be specified. Which and how many element types are available for selection depends on the stored properties of the entrance door system. In our example, you can choose between a one-piece or two-piece element type. The two-piece variant then allows the design as a door with a side panel or with two openings. After the element type has been selected, the element dimensions can be set. Once the width and height have been populated, all required properties are in place, as confirmed by the checklist in the side navigation. The software then automatically fills all other properties with the respective standard values, which can be individually defined in the system. At the same time, the graphic and the product description with detailed price information are generated. All other attributes such as opening types or individual filling properties can then be adjusted in any order and also changed later. Different properties can be selected depending on the stored design variants of the respective filling. The infill type has a direct influence on the entrance door sketch by visualizing types that overlap the leaf on the outside. If additional properties such as additional filling colors or decorations are available for fillings, these are also shown in the graphic. Hinges can also be visualized on outward-opening doors. In addition, a wide variety of handles can be stored and displayed true to scale in the respective shape and color. When saving, the configurator automatically checks the compiled version for buildability. If certain combinations or dimensions cannot be built, a corresponding message appears with a recommendation for action, otherwise the configuration will be included in the offer.
